Should the place where a student does their internship be related to what they have learned in school?

With the aim of cultivating the practical and technical capabilities of students in New Southbound International Industry-Academia Collaboration Programs, university shall organize off-campus internship courses based on talent cultivation needs. Since the internship is considered as a course in terms of its nature, universities should conduct assessments of off-campus companies for student internships and select suitable companies based on assessment results. Moreover, a collaborative contract should be signed to truly protect students’ rights and interests. As such, students are not allowed to seek out companies by themselves for their internships.
