【NISA Event】Picnic with the World
Education Institute Event《Picnic with the World | Sunshine。Picnic。Pets》
To give host families a chance to meet and connect with lovely international students from around the world, NISA is hosting another fun event!
This time, we're heading outdoors for a relaxed and delightful picnic at the most chill spot in Taichung — the People's Square (CMP Lawn). Each family will enjoy afternoon tea and casual conversation with 2–3 international students, soaking up the sunshine, soft grass, and the joy of cultural exchange!

Time: 15:00–17:30
Location: Taichung Civic Square (Intersection of Zhongxing St. and Gongzheng Rd.)
Fee: Free of charge
【 What We Provide】
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable picnic experience, we’ll provide the following:
• A delicious bento box and lightly sweetened iced drinks
• Grouping with 2–3 international students per family
• Picnic mats (feel free to bring extra gear!)
• You're welcome to bring and share your own snacks or dishes
• Pets are warmly welcome too!
【Other Reminders】
1. Please make your own way to the event location.
2. A pre-event reminder will be sent three days before the event.
3. This is an outdoor event, so please be prepared for sun protection and hydration (you may bring a hat, sunglasses, umbrella, cooling towel, etc.).
4. Due to the hot weather, we recommend wearing light and breathable clothing.
5. The event will take place on an open lawn. Please bring your own insect repellent (spray, patches, etc.).
6. If you are bringing pets, please prepare a leash, pet carrier, food, water, and cleaning supplies.
7. In case of rain, we will announce any postponement or change of venue one day before the event, depending on the weather conditions.
Dragon Boat Festival Gathering

This event is a great opportunity to connect with Taiwanese families/international students and to learn about the rich custom of the Dragon Boat Festival. We encourage you to join us for an afternoon filled with fun cultural exchange.

Rice University Family Day
Education Institute EventThe Chinese Language Center of Ming Chuan University is planning a host family event, and we warmly welcome interested families to join us in this cultural exchange!
This event will be held for students from Rice University (USA) who are participating in a study tour in Taiwan. It offers a wonderful opportunity for them to experience Taiwanese family culture and build meaningful connections during their stay.
Event Schedule:
There will be a total of three gatherings:
First Meeting:
Scheduled for Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Ming Chuan University in the morning. Families and students will meet, engage in fun interactive activities, and get to know each other. In the afternoon, families are invited to take students on a short outing or enjoy lunch together.
Second and Third Meetings:
To be arranged individually between families and students anytime between May 18 and June 28, 2025.
Subsidy:
Each participating family will receive a NT$1,000 subsidy per student to help cover expenses for the afternoon outing.
