"Explore Hakka Village! Meet Meinong"
Education Institute EventSome learning does not happen in a classroom.
It unfolds quietly under the sunlight, in the scent of the land, and through genuine human connections.
During this day in Meinong,
we will use our hands to connect with the land,
and take our time to feel the warmth of everyday life.
You will be able to:
✨ Experience traditional earth kiln cooking, handmade flat rice noodles, and Hakka lei cha (pounded tea)
✨ Discover rural life and Hakka culture
✨ Enjoy a warm, locally prepared lunch
✨ Participate in fun and nostalgic Hakka traditional folk games
This is more than just a rich and engaging event—
it is also a meaningful and memorable encounter.

Lukang Old Street Half Day Trip
Education Institute EventLukang was once a glittering gateway in Taiwan's history. The legendary saying, "First Tainan, Second Lukang, and Third Bangka," highlights this town’s significance, leaving behind the highest density of historical sites and traditional crafts in Taiwan. Walking through the red-brick alleys of Putou Street, the Southern Fujianese architecture on either side does more than just show the passage of time—it carries two hundred years of local aesthetics and the enduring spirit of master craftsmanship.
On this leisurely afternoon, we will lead our international exchange partners into the heart of Lukang. Beyond strolling through ancient lanes and exploring the spirit of generosity behind the "Half-Sided Well," we will step into a local artisan’s workshop. Through the hands-on creation of "traditional pastries" symbolizing celebration, or the delicate art of "dough figurine sculpting," students will deeply experience the beauty of Taiwanese craft through the warmth of their own handiwork.
We cordially invite you and our international students to join us amidst the gentle breeze and the sweet aroma of pastries. Let’s cross linguistic and national boundaries to flip through the pages of this living history book together.
