Light a Match Meet a Family - LMMF Program

To introduce Taiwan's rich food culture to international students and have them experience the warmth of Taiwanese people, the Office of International Affairs is organizing a host family event on Saturday, October 17, 2026. This event is a nice opportunity to connect with Taiwanese families/international students and to learn about traditional Taiwanese delicacies. A highlight of the event will be hands-on workshops where you will make hand-rubbed Aiyu jelly and snowy skin mooncakes from scratch. We invite you to join us for a delicious afternoon of fun cultural exchange.

Held on Tuesday, August 18, this event is specially designed for host families and international students. Visiting the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute in Caotun on a weekday allows for a higher-quality guided exhibition tour and a relaxed atmosphere. It offers families and students a warm and quiet environment to deeply experience the beauty of Taiwanese craftsmanship.

To celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival, the NTUOIA is organizing a host family event on Saturday, 13 June, 2026. A highlight of the event will be hands-on dragon boating at Sanjiaodu. We encourage you to join us for an afternoon filled with fun cultural exchange.

We will recruit a maximum of 15 host families to participate in this in-person event. Please finish the registration form before Monday, 1 June, 2026, 23:59

For safety reasons, dragon boat paddling requires participants to be at least 130 cm tall. If you are bringing young children, please ensure that a parent or companion stays on shore to supervise them. Due to limited capacity, each host family can register a maximum of two people for the dragon boat experience. However, there is no limit on family members who wish to watch from the shore without rowing. To help us manage the headcount and logistics, please inform us as early as possible if there are any changes to your attendance. Thank you for your cooperation!
